Digital
Aesthetic 2 is a multi venue exhibition, conference and website
organised by the Harris Museum and Art Gallery and the Electronic and
Digital Art Unit at the University of Central Lancashire. Please
visit the Digital Aesthetic 2 website for the most up to date news and information.Artistic practice in new media embraces a wide variety of approaches, contexts and experiences including: interactivity, non-linearity, virtual reality, telepresence, gaming, databases, chat rooms, artificial reality and 3D visualisation. Media artists are utilising an increasingly complex set of digital tools and devices and much of this work has very considerable implications for the way in which we experience art - more significantly much of this work challenges assumptions about the nature of art and the way in which art is experienced and engaged with.
