Harris Open 2011

Our annual celebration of local creative talent. We invited Preston-based artists to show painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and more, and share their artistic skills with the whole city.

In 2011 we highlighted the work of some of the community groups that have worked closely with the Harris over the past year, including Young Harris.

Who can enter?

The exhibition was open to all ages and disciplines provided they paid council tax to Preston City Council or lived within a five mile radius of the Harris Museum & Art Gallery (see below).

How many works can I enter?

One or two works in any medium e.g. painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, needlework, jewellery, pottery etc.

How much does it cost?

Entry is free and there was an official opening for the exhibition on Friday 9 December at 6.30pm.

How do I enter?

There are specific handing days for work.
