The Gujarat Hindu Society are celebrating their 50th anniversary. This special exhibition uses digitised archives and photographs to accompany stories of journeys from North Africa and India -  to where people lived and worked when they arrived in Preston.

Growing up in Preston was tough in the 1960s if you had Caribbean heritage. This exhibition takes an honest and sometimes tough look at the experiences of the Windrush Generation in their first 70 years of living in Preston.

Whittingham Lives: Hidden Histories - Alternative Futures

Whittingham Lives is an exhibition that forms part of a wider project exploring the history and legacy of Preston's Whittingham Asylum, from its opening in 1873, through to its final demolition in 2016.

Artist Rebecca Chesney has carefully selected items from our collection to be displayed alongside objects from her Dandelion Archive.  Scattered around the museum, dandelion items crop up in sixteen different locations for you to discover.
