Preston Cultural Framework funding for 2015/16 is announced

Preston City Council is now inviting applications from local arts organisations and groups to apply for funding of up to £3000 to undertake projects that support Preston's Cultural Framework.
The deadline for applications is 19 April 2015.

 

Supporting local arts organisations & groups

Preston City Council has approved a budget of £15,000 during the 2015/16 financial year to support activities that meet one or more of the goals of the Preston Cultural Framework 2014-2018.
Local arts organisations and groups are invited to apply for an award of up to £3,000.

Funding is limited and we cannot guarantee that all eligible applications will be able to be supported. In exceptional circumstances, applications may be accepted outside of the published deadlines.

We invite arts organisations and community groups to apply for funding that supports one or more of the following Goals:

1.    Quality – we will aspire to achieve quality and excellence in the cultural life of Preston,

2.    Participation and inclusion – more people are involved in cultural activities as audiences, participants and creative producers,

3.    Supporting creativity – creative people and groups thrive in Preston, and

4.    Preston as a cultural centre – Preston is recognised as the cultural hub of Lancashire benefitting the people who live and work in the city and also attracting visitors and businesses.
