History Walk Layar Application
Bring the history of Preston to life as you walk through Preston city centre!
The Harris Museum & Art Gallery has developed an augmented reality tour of the city using the Layar mobile application.
Simply download this free mobile phone app and follow the Harris Museum History Walk where you can experience the tour in an immersive 3D space, and find images, information and even 3D buildings as you walk round the city centre.
The locations on this walk were inspired by the Industrial Revolutionaries exhibition (26 June – 6 November 2010). As well as the Layar App, we have designed a number of guides to help you enjoy your walk. You can pick up a printed guide from the Harris Museum and Art Gallery, or use one of our electronic maps.
