The Gallery

The Harris Museum & Art Gallery works with two local high schools and local artists on this project which aims to teach citizenship through art & history.

Alongside American artist Mark Dion's recent exhibition Microcosmographia, the Harris ran a project with a group of 25 year 7 students from Ashton Community Science College.

Visitors to the Portrait: Full Face and Profile exhibition in the summer of 2006 have contributed their portraits to our display board in the activity area.

Snorri the Viking made a visit to the Harris this summer and showed children what life was like in Viking times.

Over 60 children enjoyed tours of the Harris' collections with our special puppet guides.
